Security Analyst

We’re seeking a Tier 1 SOC Analyst to serve as the first line of defense in our Security Operations Center. You will monitor security alerts, triage events, perform initial investigations, and escalate incidents per established procedures.

• Monitor SIEM, EDR, AV, and email security dashboards; triage alerts and create incident tickets.
• Conduct initial investigations for low/medium‑severity events and escalate when required.
• Maintain activity logs and validate system/alert health.
• Follow SOPs and playbooks; participate in shift handovers and tuning discussions.
• Stay updated on threat advisories and emerging trends.

• Associate/Bachelor’s in IT, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 2+ years in IT support, networking, or helpdesk roles.
• Preferred certifications:
  Security+,
  MS SC‑200
  , ISC2 SSCP
  .

• Hands‑on experience with Splunk
  , Microsoft Sentinel
  , phishing triage, and endpoint security.
• Familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK framework.

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and documentation abilities.

• Must be eligible for DHS Public Trust clearance.
