Senior QA Engineer

Job Purpose

As a member of the Reference Data team, this is a position for a Senior QA resource to test, maintain, support, and enhance testing processes for various products implemented by the development team.

• Implementation of test strategies, test plans, test infrastructure, test automation and project plans based on requirements.
• Work closely with developers, product team, business analysts and QA from other teams.
• Project management – may lead or direct the work of others, changing priorities as needed.
• Responsible for keeping products in line as far as quality, functionality and usability.
• Directs quality assurance functions covering the full software test life cycle.
• Conducts system and integration test and validation activities.
• Serves as Second Level Support for product line.
• Coordinates with Operational and DBA teams during maintenance/deployment windows.

• Knowledge/experience: 5+ years Quality Assurance and software testing
• Work skills/ general skills
• SQL experience required (e.g., MySQL, MS-SQLServer, Postgre
  
  SQL, etc.)
• Experience with Jenkins environment on application life cycle management deployment and pipeline automation
• Experience implementing software quality processes and procedures
• Windows and strong UNIX/Linux system level experience (3-4 years experience in a UNIX/Linux environment)
• Demonstrable Unix shell scripting skills
• UI test automation experience is a plus
• Basic TCP/IP knowledge for troubleshooting purposes
• Strong problem solving, analysis skills needed
• Candidates must be self-motivated and self-directed
• Communication skills, attention to detail and have a passion for learning new skills

  Skills and Experience:
  
  Programming experience with Python, Java or C/C++ Market Data knowledge a plus
• Qualifications/education: BS degree in Computer Science or information technology or relevant experience
