Role OverviewThe Amazon Web Services (AWS) Global Sales Compensation (GSC) Operations team seeks a Sales Compensation Systems Analyst to support the day‑to‑day administration of the Varicent ICM sales compensation system for sales incentive‑eligible employees globally. This role drives operational process improvements in compensation, quota management, compensation adjustments, quarterly payouts, compensation plan administration, and program tool scalability.
Key Responsibilities- Validate data; quantify impact through data analysis and communicate proposed resolutions and timelines to leadership.
- Identify operational risks and engage necessary stakeholders to frame issues and desired end states.
- Communicate effectively with technical teams on root causes of issues and business requirements.
- User acceptance testing (UAT) for process and system updates.
- Assist with distribution of incentive compensation plans, including plan set up, quota shifts, revenue adjustments, etc.
- Ensure all compensation methodologies, policies, procedures, and governance are followed.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders (HR, Tax, Legal) to maintain production compliance.
- Support global quarterly commission payout process, including manual compensation adjustments, calculations, and approval process.
- Create mechanisms to improve efficiency of processes.
- Strong Excel & SQL skills preferred.
- 5+ years of Microsoft Excel experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Experience with sales CRM tools such as Salesforce or similar software.
- Experience defining, refining, and implementing sales processes, procedures, and policies or equivalent.
- Prior sales compensation experience – experience with sales ICM tools such as Varicent, Xactly, or similar software.
- 5+ years of finance, business management, and sales operations experience.
- Experience working within a high‑growth, technology company.
Colorado $88,100 - $154,100 annually
National $79,300 - $169,500 annually
