Delta’s Reliability, Architecture & Infrastructure Services for the Enterprise (RAISE) organization is hiring an IT Manager to lead our Cloud Foundations & Platforms team — the group responsible for architecting and governing the enterprise AWS environment that powers Delta’s technology ecosystem.

About The Organization and Team

RAISE (Reliability, Architecture & Infrastructure Services for the Enterprise) powers Delta’s global operations by delivering secure, reliable, and modern infrastructure platforms. Within RAISE, the Architecture Strategy & Cloud Experience organization serves as Delta’s center of excellence for cloud architecture and platform enablement. The Cloud Foundations & Platforms team defines how Delta does cloud: setting the standards, patterns, and best practices that elevate every system and every team that builds on top of it. In this role, you will lead engineers who shape Delta’s AWS ecosystem — crafting the frameworks and automation that unlock speed, resilience, and security across the enterprise. It’s a role for leaders who thrive on scale, complexity, and impact.

This team collaborates closely with Delta’s Cloud Center of Excellence (CoE), bringing together architectural mastery and engineering innovation to drive transformative outcomes.

Key Responsibilities Including but not limited to:
  • Define and execute strategy for Delta’s AWS foundations, including networking, identity, security guardrails, and automation.
  • Manage Delta's public cloud platforms, enabling cloud modernization and mission‑critical migrations to AWS.
  • Oversee multi‑account AWS environments leveraging AWS Organizations and Control Tower for compliance, scalability, and performance.
  • Partner with Enterprise Architecture, Cybersecurity, and Infrastructure Operations to align modernization roadmaps and resiliency frameworks.
  • Drive adoption of Infrastructure-as-Code and automation tooling (Cloud Development Kit/CDK, Cloud Formation, Ansible Automation Platform)
  • Advance Dev Ops maturity through self‑service provisioning and cloud‑native enablement.
  • Integrate observability and monitoring frameworks (Cloud Watch, Dynatrace) to ensure proactive reliability management.
  • Lead, mentor, and grow a team of AWS engineers and specialists, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
  • Champion Delta’s values of Care, Integrity, Resilience, and Servant Leadership in day‑to‑day operations.
  • Serve as a key voice in RAISE's public cloud practice, influencing enterprise standards and architectural best practices.
