GA DHS Senior Salesforce Technology Specialist
A Senior Salesforce Technology Specialist focuses on managing and optimizing the Salesforce platform, developing customizations, automation, and user experience enhancements while collaborating with stakeholders for smooth operations.
Full DescriptionThis role is responsible for end-to-end implementation and administration of Salesforce, including user management, security, and integrations.
Key Responsibilities- Administer and maintain Salesforce platform (Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, Knowledge, CMS), including users, profiles, roles, permission sets, security sharing, and data management.
- Customize and configure Salesforce to meet business needs, creating custom objects, fields, validation rules, approval processes, and flows.
- Develop automated processes to streamline functionality and enhance efficiency.
- Facilitate integration between Salesforce and other systems, and develop using Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components, Aura Components, Platform Events, and APIs.
- Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and end‑user training.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define business requirements and design strategic improvements.
- Stay current on Salesforce best practices, releases, and emerging technologies.
- Create and maintain documentation and change management processes.
- Lead Salesforce system upgrades, data migrations, deduplication, and integrations.
- Guide architectural decisions, governance, and platform strategy across Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, and other Salesforce products.
- Drive code reviews, enforce security, scalability, and performance standards.
- Maintain CI/CD deployment pipelines and version control with tools such as Salesforce DX, Jenkins, Copado, Gearset.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, developers, and administrators in project delivery and governance.
- Serve as point of contact for Salesforce support, escalations, and documentation.
- Participate in or lead projects involving Salesforce development, integration, and deployment.
- Maintain system documentation, training materials, and procedures.
- Handle technical delivery of custom development, integrations, and data migration elements throughout implementation.
- Extensive experience designing Salesforce applications for government clients.
- Proficiency with Salesforce CRM, Government Cloud, Service Cloud, and Experience Cloud including security, compliance, and efficiency requirements.
- Deep knowledge of Salesforce architecture, integrations, and best practices.
- Demonstrated ability to meet cybersecurity and non‑functional requirements.
- Strong problem‑solving and communication skills.
- References from similar recent projects.
- Salesforce certifications preferred.
