** AIG Underwriting teams help to find insurance solutions in areas including Financial Lines, Property, Casualty, Specialty Lines, Cyber, and Multinational Clients. ** How you will create an impact
*** Driving underwriting excellence across the business by establishing and ensuring adherence to peer review process, risk appetite, underwriting guidelines, net limits management and portfolio rate and pricing adequacy.
* Lead HO underwriting team in efficiently handling referrals from field underwriters for a diverse array of new and renewal accounts, with emphasis on risk selection, loss rating, program design, pricing, and coverage evaluation.
* Working with NA CUO and Casualty leadership, develop framework for underwriting authority and assign specific authority to Field Underwriters and Managers.
* Serve as a technical expert about underwriting issues and provide product specific training to field underwriting teams on an ongoing basis, while driving a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement between HO and the field.
* Lead detailed monitoring standards / quality reviews to assess loss ratios and underwriting results.
* Drive the collaboration with Legal, Claims, Actuarial, Filing/Regulatory, and Operations on individual account or portfolio issues.
* Demonstrate understanding of regulatory and compliance processes and ensure AIG stakeholders understand the Casualty business model, underwriting methodology, and the risks we assume.
* Ensure an effective reinsurance strategy that supports our risk appetite for per risk and aggregation across all product lines, as well as active management of the portfolio.
* Working with NA CUO, develop and manage all product underwriting guidelines so they are current and recognize emerging issues.
* Establish strong relationships with regional leadership; create mutual understanding of overall parameters and goals to drive effective execution of business model.
