Account Manager

We are seeking an Account Manager to lead client experience in risk management and insurance program strategies. The role supports the client and Account Executive in program administration, marketing, placement, and carrier management while providing innovative solutions and industry best deliverables.

Responsibilities
  • Act as the key contact for client service‑related issues; confirm coverage, answer policy questions, and counsel on losses.
  • Discuss business changes that impact coverage due to acquisition or divestiture; review contracts and guide insurance requirements to satisfy contractual obligations.
  • Gather information for the client strategic plan (exposures, loss runs, carrier data); analyze and make recommendations based on skill level.
  • Coordinate communications for presentations and meetings; present renewal portions supported during marketing.
  • Conduct annual commissions reconciliations and updates with AA support; communicate to AE.
  • Implement marketing strategy for less complex lines; identify and analyze client exposures, evaluate policy terms, distribute RFPs, negotiate, and prepare renewal presentations; collaborate with risk management team on projections.
  • Project‑manage renewal implementation, updating coverages with carriers and clients.
  • Confirm coverages are correctly placed and validate readiness for the new policy year.
  • Project‑manage new client onboarding using checklists and tools; document communication strategy and enroll clients in standard programs or add‑ons; oversee AA activities for successful setup.
  • Manage client financial reporting and claims analysis; provide data to clients and collaborate with financial analytics.
  • Prioritize and manage time and resources to complete work efficiently.
  • Ensure high‑quality output by following procedures, checking processes, and taking corrective action.
  • Build customer loyalty by exceeding expectations and cultivating trust‑based relationships.
  • Build networks outside formal work groups to obtain information, ideas, and influence.
  • Collaborate with team members, seek help, and encourage participation.
  • Make decisions by gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data; generate alternatives; choose effective options; consider others’ perspectives.
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of client service experience in property and casualty, including servicing and placement.
  • Bachelor's degree in a business‑related program or equivalent education/experience in the insurance industry.
  • Intermediate understanding of P&C coverage lines across multiple product lines.
  • Intermediate knowledge of risk financing strategies and products (e.g., guarantee cost, loss sensitive, collateral) with strong expertise in the guaranteed cost market.
  • Relationships with insurance/carrier markets in assigned areas, or ability to develop them immediately.
  • Basic negotiation skills related to marketing and placement of insurance products.
  • Strong working knowledge of the evolving vendor landscape and cutting‑edge products.
  • Knowledge of federal and state legislation and legal issues related to the insurance industry.
  • Ability to compile, analyze, and interpret financial information to facilitate decision making.
  • Full proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Basic presentation skills.
