- Check insurance policies for accuracy, coverage, and limits to determine whether modifications are necessary
- Identify and secure new business through creative sales tactics, including networking and cold calling
- Compose tailored policy options, quotes, and educational materials to prospective and existing insurance clients
- Deliver a high level of customer service when resolving billing, policy change, coverage, and claims issues
- Facilitate sales by keeping accurate records of personal information of prospects and customers within insurance company databases
- A high school diploma is required - a bachelor's degree or comparable insurance industry experience is a must
- Valid, state‑issued insurance license is mandatory:
Property and Casualty Insurance License and/or Life and Health Insurance License - Previous experience in the insurance industry as an insurance producer for personal lines
- Stellar verbal and written communications skills mandatory
- A thorough understanding of all insurance company policies and insurance coverage offerings, including their costs and benefits
