Keck Legal, LLC is a dynamic and fast-growing boutique commercial litigation, debtor/creditor, and restructuring firm located near I-85 and North Druid Hills in Atlanta. We’re seeking a bright, driven associate attorney to join our team and grow with our practice. This is an exciting opportunity for an attorney early in their career who wants to work on challenging matters, sharpen their litigation and leadership skills, and build a practice alongside experienced and entrepreneurial counsel.

The ideal candidate is a motivated self-starter eager to take ownership of cases, work directly with clients, and develop into a leader within the firm.

Requirements
  • Active Georgia law license.
  • 0–5 years of experience in commercial litigation, creditors’ rights, bankruptcy, or related practice areas.
  • Strong desire to learn, grow, and develop a wide range of legal and leadership skills.
  • Confident, take-charge attitude with the ability to manage cases and staff.
  • Solid academic credentials.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Litigation experience in business, real estate, contract, or bankruptcy-related disputes.
  • Experience handling Chapter 7 and/or 11 bankruptcy matters.
  • Demonstrated ambition to build a long-term practice and career and take on leadership responsibilities.
  • Experience managing a team or overseeing projects.
  • Strong organizational skills and an interest in developing systems and processes.
  • Solid computer skills and enthusiasm for implementing new legal technology and tools.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Manage a diverse caseload of commercial litigation and bankruptcy matters.
  • Draft and file pleadings, motions, briefs, agreements, discovery, and proposed orders.
  • Collaborate closely with senior attorneys to analyze legal issues and formulate case strategies.
  • Communicate directly with clients regarding case strategy, status updates, and business considerations.
  • Oversee accurate preparation and filing of bankruptcy schedules and related documents.
  • Represent clients at hearings, status conferences, and other court appearances.
  • Correspond with opposing counsel, courts, and other parties regarding case developments.
  • Supervise staff and ensure timely and accurate completion of case-related tasks.
