This is a full‑time, on‑site opportunity for a Construction Litigation Associate Attorney at Smith Gambrell’s Atlanta, GA office. The ideal candidate will have 3–6 years of relevant transactional and litigation experience in the construction industry. Experience in one but not the other(s) should not prevent applicants from applying—we will provide training as needed. Regardless of background, candidates should expect to receive a mix of transactional and litigation work.

Qualifications
  • 3–6 years of relevant transactional and litigation experience in the construction industry.
  • Proficiency in legal research, drafting motions, pleadings, and other legal documents.
  • Expertise in negotiation, arbitration, mediation, and trial advocacy.
  • Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and strategic thinking skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills to interact with clients, opposing counsel, and courts.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple cases concurrently, and meet deadlines.
  • Georgia State Bar License in good standing is required. Exceptions will be made for exceptional candidates.
  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
