Interim General Counsel – Overview

Latitude is seeking an attorney with significant employment law experience to serve as Interim General Counsel on a contract basis for a professional services firm. The role involves assisting with employment matters, engagement contracting and other general legal issues, advising leadership and consultants, performing legal work directly, and overseeing outside counsel.

• Assist with employment matters and engagement contracting

• Advise leadership and consulting teams on legal issues

• Perform legal work directly with the firm’s clients and internal stakeholders

• Oversee and manage outside counsel engagement

• 10+ years of employment law experience, significant litigation experience preferred
• Experience with professional services firms or a general counsel function in a law firm
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑moving, global enterprise
• Prior experience working in‑house at an industrial or recycling company preferred
• Licensed to practice law in any U.S. state and in good standing
• J.D. from an accredited law school
• Excellent analytical, written, and oral communication skills

• Annualized pay range: $190,000 – $230,000 (based on full‑time equivalent)
• Contract pay based on experience, qualifications, location, and market demand
