Associate Attorney – LEFKOFF, RUBIN, GLEASON, RUSSO & SMITH, P.C., Atlanta, GA

Boutique creditors’ rights firm seeks associate with 2+ years’ experience. A background in creditors’ rights law, particularly collections and/or bankruptcy law, preferred.

LEFKOFF, RUBIN, GLEASON, RUSSO & SMITH, P.C., is a premier creditors’ rights law firm representing creditors in collection matters, bankruptcy, real property foreclosures, personal property foreclosures, and real estate closings.

The primary responsibility of the Associate Attorney will be to provide support to firm’s collection practice with additional responsibilities in real estate and bankruptcy.

  • Represent clients in court proceedings, advocacy effectively in collections, replevins, and bankruptcy cases.
  • Draft and prepare essential legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests, with precision and efficiency.
  • Conduct thorough legal research efficiently and prepare memoranda to inform case strategies.
  • Collaborate closely with paralegals and support staff to ensure timely management of case files and deadlines.
  • Communicate proactively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel to foster strong working relationships.
  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the State Bar of Georgia and in good standing.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in collections, litigation, or a related field, with strong preference for candidates with direct collections and research experience.
  • Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in both independent and collaborative work settings.
  • Familiarity with Westlaw and JST/Collect Max case‑management system is a plus.
