Job PurposeThe consulting division of Hy‑Tek Intralogistics, a national 250+ person material handling equipment (MHE) systems integrator, is seeking Supply Chain Consultants to join our rapidly growing operations. This entry‑level role focuses on industrial engineering‑based management consulting in supply chain network optimization, distribution and fulfillment center MHE systems planning, design and implementation, labor‑management systems, engineered productivity standards, supply‑chain execution technology systems (WMS), and operations excellence/lean improvement.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Turn‑key implementation of MHE systems (conveyor systems, robotics, advanced automation, automated sortation, storage rack). New consultants will start with any of these services and receive training from Consulting Leaders.
- Analytical training and project work using Hy‑Tek proprietary tools in space planning and modeling, operating expense and MHE technology assessments, supply‑chain network optimization (using Llamasoft’s Supply Chain Guru), and labor‑management systems (engineered standards development).
- Develop deliverables defined in the project SOWs for the customer within specified timelines. Responsibilities include capacity modeling, financial modeling, process improvement justification, process flow development, SOP development, engineered standard creation, and related industrial‑engineering tasks.
- Support the data‑analytics team to help define planning requirements.
- All other duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Minimum B.S. in Industrial Engineering; also consider B.B.A., MBA in Supply Chain Management or other relevant degrees.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in the material‑handling industry.
- Experience in distribution and/or fulfillment‑center operations management will also be considered.
- Entry‑level supply‑chain experience or related field; we consider other industries.
- Working knowledge of MS Excel required; MS Access and Tableau experience is a plus.
- Ability to travel 40%–70% of the time or as needed depending on project type.
- Travel to client sites and Hy‑Tek offices as required.
- Work in office, warehouse, and manufacturing facilities.
- Maintain a stationary position for an extended period.
- Move or traverse for an extended period.
- Possible exposure to noise levels exceeding recommended DBA levels.
