Role Overview

Director of Talent Development at Lithko Contracting is a strategic leader responsible for driving organizational capability and performance through effective learning solutions. The role identifies critical skill gaps, implements scalable development tools and resources, and collaborates with stakeholders to align initiatives with business goals. This is a remote opportunity open to US candidates; preference may be given to those near a Lithko office.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess Development Needs:
    Proactively evaluate organizational and role-specific knowledge, skill, and competency gaps using needs assessments and feedback loops to align development priorities with business objectives and future workforce needs.
  • Domain Expertise:
    Serve as subject‑matter expert to connect organizational knowledge and development content, implementing delivery mechanisms that facilitate effective dissemination and uptake across the enterprise.
  • Program Execution:
    Partner with stakeholders to implement scalable training frameworks and content using methodologies such as OJT resources, microlearning, self‑service, and leader‑guided learning to engage target audiences.
  • Training Effectiveness:
    Evaluate impact of training and development efforts through KPI/ROI analysis, performance outcomes, and feedback loops, refining content and delivery to drive continuous improvement.
  • Through the Work Focus:
    Maintain alignment of learning and development efforts through business execution and lines of reporting, ensuring development occurs primarily through the work and lines of supervision.
  • Executive Development:
    Facilitate executive coaching, leadership development, and succession readiness initiatives to strengthen enterprise leadership capability.
Additional Tasks & Duties
  • Develop and execute organizational needs assessments and role‑specific gap analyses.
  • Design or source self‑serve development tools using blended learning methods.
  • Build a toolbox of best practices and learning delivery methods mapped to user needs.
  • Collaborate with regional leaders and COE counterparts to align content with business pursuits.
  • Oversee scheduling, communication, and implementation of development resources.
  • Support manager‑led employee development through domain expertise and facilitation guides.
  • Establish metrics to track participation, effectiveness, and business outcomes.
  • Produce reporting connecting training effectiveness to ROI.
  • Facilitate executive coaching engagements and participate in senior‑leader development sessions.
  • Partner with VP of Talent and executive leadership to assess and develop high‑potential leaders.
Requirements
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in learning & development, content management, instructional design, or organizational development, with at least 3‑5 years in a leadership role.
  • Background in construction industry highly preferred.
  • Experience facilitating executive coaching and leadership development programs for senior leaders.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, Education, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • Professional certifications (e.g., SHRM‑SCP) in learning & development or talent management considered a plus.
  • Deep knowledge of adult learning theories, blended learning methodologies, and training delivery mechanisms.
  • Ability to conduct organizational and role‑specific gap analyses to align priorities with business objectives.
