Fitness Center General Manager

Supervise, control, and direct all aspects of the club facility and operations.

• Supervises personnel in all aspects relating to club operations: coordinates schedules, manages attendance records, interviews, hires, and onboard new employees.
• Provides guidance, training and motivation to staff, conducts regular staff meetings and evaluates work performance.
• Solicits prospective corporate and individual members, provides information on club facilities and membership, conducts sales activities.
• Encourages members to maintain regular exercise program, assists, instructs, motivates and provides fitness training principles.
• Manages revenues and expenses, prepares and provides accurate financial information to CSU, approves health club related bills.
• Promotes personal training, spa and massage service sales within the club.
• Provides personnel and payroll information to CSU in timely manner, performs performance reviews and submits changes.
• Maintains cleanliness, operation and safety of club facilities and equipment.
• Communicates CHU and CSU initiatives, ensures policies and procedures are followed.
• Ensures duties of Assistant Managers, Wellness Coordinators, Guest Services Associates are performed according to standards; may perform them personally if positions absent.
• Performs various other duties as necessary.

• Strong leadership and managerial skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in word processing and spreadsheets.
• Understanding of financial records and reports.
• Sincere interest in fitness and health, desire to maintain or improve personal fitness.

• B.S. degree in Exercise Science or related field.
• 1-2 years experience in a multi-recreational facility with increasing management responsibility.
• Current First Aid/CPR/AED certification.
