OverviewA leading national construction firm is seeking an experienced Project Executive to oversee a large-scale, mission-critical data center project in Atlanta, Georgia. This senior leadership role is responsible for the successful delivery of a complex, high-value data center project, providing strategic direction, operational oversight, and client-facing leadership from preconstruction through closeout.
The ideal candidate brings deep experience in data center or other mission-critical construction, exceptional leadership capabilities, and a strong track record of delivering large, technically complex projects safely, on schedule, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities- Provide executive‑level leadership and oversight for a major data center project, ensuring alignment with business objectives and project goals.
- Serve as the primary point of accountability for project performance, including safety, quality, schedule, cost, and client satisfaction.
- Lead and mentor project teams, including project managers, superintendents, and preconstruction staff.
- Oversee preconstruction planning, budgeting, scheduling, procurement, and risk management.
- Collaborate with owners, design partners, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders to drive project success.
- Ensure compliance with contract requirements, regulatory standards, and company policies.
- Proactively identify and mitigate project risks and challenges.
- Support business development efforts and contribute to long-term client relationships within the data center market.
- 10+ years of experience in commercial construction, with significant experience in data center and/or mission‑critical projects
. - Proven experience leading large, complex projects as a Project Executive or Senior Project Manager.
- Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost controls.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and client‑management skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Willingness to be based in or relocate to Atlanta, GA
.
