Principal, Homebuilding Recruiter at Match Built

Vice President of Sales Job Opening in Atlanta, GA

We’re partnering with a leading residential home builder to identify an exceptional Vice President of Sales and Marketing. Reporting directly to the President, this executive will lead the sales organization while providing oversight of marketing, pricing, positioning, and go-to-market strategy across a diverse residential portfolio.

The ideal candidate thrives in an entrepreneurial environment and brings strong sales leadership instincts. This role requires the ability to think on your feet, operate with limited structure, and guide teams through growth and change. You should be highly effective at delivering compelling sales presentations and developing others to do the same.

Sales leadership is the core requirement, with oversight of marketing execution and contribution to pricing, product positioning, and market strategy in close partnership with land, operations, and architecture.

As Vice President of Sales and Marketing, you will guide pricing, positioning, and absorption strategies across multiple product types—move‑up, move‑down, active adult, infill, townhomes, and higher‑density attached communities—with a strong focus on margin, brand alignment, and long‑term performance. You will also establish clear expectations, processes, and accountability across the sales organization.

This role offers a competitive compensation package, strong benefits, and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact within a design‑forward, margin‑focused platform. Qualified candidates open to relocation are encouraged to apply.

Primary Vice President of Sales Responsibilities
  • Lead, mentor, and scale a high‑performing sales organization by driving accountability, coaching, and results aligned with brand and margin objectives.
  • Design and implement a formal, ongoing training framework for the sales organization, including onboarding, presentation standards, and continuous skill development, utilizing internal and external resources as needed.
  • Establish clear expectations, compensation structures, and performance standards to support consistent sales execution and team success.
  • Provide strategic oversight of marketing, messaging, presentation standards, and go‑to‑market execution.
  • Contribute to enterprise strategy through sales forecasting, budgeting, quota development, and performance analysis, adjusting plans as market conditions evolve.
  • Guide pricing, positioning, and absorption strategies by monitoring competition, consumer demand, product mix, and profitability targets.
  • Identify and capitalize on market opportunities through competitive analysis, customer insight, and collaboration on product and community strategy.
  • Maintain key internal and external relationships to support sales performance, market positioning, and long‑term growth.
Vice President of Sales Qualifications
  • Strong proficiency in Excel, with working experience using CRM, sales contract software, and market research platforms such as Salesforce, Newstar, and Zonda.
  • Active real estate sales license, or willingness and ability to obtain required licensing or reciprocal licensure within an appropriate timeframe.
  • Proven sales leadership experience in residential homebuilding, with the ability to lead teams, guide pricing and positioning, and collaborate effectively in less structured environments.
  • Strong understanding of marketing strategy, messaging, and market positioning.
  • Working knowledge of mortgage programs across housing types.
  • Experience leading teams, planning sales strategy, managing territories, and evaluating competitive landscapes.
  • Customer‑focused, strategic, and analytical leader with the creativity to adapt to evolving markets.
  • Clear, confident communicator with strong written and verbal skills and sound project management capabilities.
  • Competitive executive compensation package, including base salary and performance‑based bonus.
  • Comprehensive health benefits, including medical, dental, vision, and prescription coverage.
  • 401(k) plan with company participation.
  • Company‑provided life insurance and disability coverage.
  • Generous paid time off and company holidays.
