** POSITION PROFILE
** The Regional Director of Sales & Marketing serves as the commercial leader for a defined portfolio of Valor-managed hotels, responsible for driving topline revenue, market share, and overall sales effectiveness. This role partners closely with hotel General Managers, Directors of Sales, and Revenue leaders to execute strategic plans that maximize performance across all segments and channels.
* Translate company goals into measurable property-level results.
* Lead, coach and develop high-performing sales teams.
* Collaborate across disciplines to optimize pricing, distribution, and marketing execution.
* Identify opportunities for growth through data analysis, market intelligence, and strategic partnerships.
** ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILTIES**
* ** Revenue Leadership:
** Develop and implement commercial strategies that drive sales, market share, and profitability across all assigned hotels. Ensure alignment with brand, corporate, and ownership goals.
* ** Market Strategy & Analysis:
** Analyze market trends, comp set performance, and demand patterns to guide proactive revenue and marketing actions. Identify and capitalize on opportunities for growth.
* ** Team Development:
** Coach, train, and motivate hotel sales leaders, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and performance. Oversee action plans and development programs for underperforming properties.
* ** Performance Management:
** Review and provide feedback on budgets, forecasts, and sales plans. Lead monthly performance reviews and revenue calls to ensure consistent delivery of commercial KPIs.
* ** Brand & Program Implementation:
** Oversee adoption of Valor sales tools, systems, and SOPs. Ensure brand and corporate programs are executed effectively at the property level.
* *
* Cross-Functional Collaboration:
** Partner with Corporate Marketing, Revenue Management, and Operations to align commercial strategy and ensure cohesive execution.
* ** Travel:
** Visit hotels regularly (approximately 50%) to engage with teams, assess strategy execution, and support on-property initiatives.
** REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
*** Bachelors degree or equivalent experience required
* Minimum 4 years experience in above property sales management preferred
* Ability to perform critical analysis and manage wide range of information
* Extensive knowledge and skills related to negotiating and sales procedures, in the hotel industry.
* Excellent oral, written and presentation skills sufficient to produce sales and marketing communication that properly reflects the Foundation Image. Listen effectively.
* Ability to delegate, manage manpower and organize complex projects and establishes priorities consistent with department/hotel objectives.
** PHYSICAL DEMANDS
*** Must be able to be on your feet for extended periods of time
* Ability to travel as needed, at least 50% of the time.
* Ability to perform critical analysis and manage wide range of information.
