Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Triage Technician
Appointment Type: Full‑Time Regular (FTR-A)
Location: Ft. Gillem, GA (and OCONUS)
Salary Range: $69,617.60 - $90,521.60/year
Eligible for Sign‑On Bonus.
Purpose: Responsible for laboratory level triage procedures, performing X‑Rays and physical inspections of captured material to detect, identify, and render safe any initiators, explosives, power sources, firing circuits, booby traps, components, and to maintain readiness for explosive ordnance disposal operations.

- Utilize standard operating procedures for the storage, testing and transport of samples and components found in captured materials.
- Produce technical reports on findings and develop device profiles.
- Provide knowledge and experience relating to global IED device and TTP threats.
- High school diploma and at least 5 years of military EOD experience.
- Experience with lab level triage procedures, performing X‑Rays and physical inspections of captured material to detect, identify, and render safe any initiators, explosives, power sources, firing circuits, components, and booby traps.
- Experience with standard operating procedures for the storage, testing, and transport of samples and components found in captured materials.
- Demonstrated ability to produce technical reports on findings and develop device profiles.
- Current knowledge of global IED device and TTP threats.
- Graduate of the Naval School Explosive Ordnance Disposal preferred.
- Must be able to pass security background investigation, obtain and maintain a TOP Secret clearance, and hold or obtain a U.S. passport.
- Ability to travel CONUS/OCONUS and comply with deployment requirements for OCONUS medical screenings.
