Summary:
The Fenestration Product Certification Specialist will oversee and manage certifications and engineering product data for YKK AP products. This includes testing, certification, product labeling, and engineering product data management during the whole product life cycle.
Responsibilities- Maintain a formalized database system to manage and secure product test reports, which are tagged, marked, identified, and posted.
- Oversee product certifications and ensures they are filed timely and within compliance.
- Support and advise the product development teams with respect to code compliance on all product systems.
- Create standard operating procedures to ensure long term asset management of certification testing and other regulatory assets.
- Manage process flow for data archiving and security management.
- Manage certifications and code compliance for residential and commercial products.
- Manage day-to-day user requirements of Autodesk Vault system.
- Maintain and distribute the AutoCAD engineering templates, and all programs associated with the LISP routines.
- Manage and coordinate BIM models with outside vendors.
- Responsible for the quality assurance of YKK AP’s Product Guide & YView.
- Maintain bill-of-materials for standard systems to support EPDS, HPDs, and Declare Labels.
- Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university in engineering, architectural or industrial design plus 3 years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Autodesk AutoCAD and Vault
- Excellent communication skills
- Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access
- High attention to detail
- FGIA Fenestration Associates preferred but not required.
