Packaging & Food Lab Technician

Position

Packaging & Food Lab Technician – Atlanta (Contract)

This is a 12 month contract (with likely extensions) that will be onsite in Atlanta. Sponsorship is not available.

• Conduct tests on food packaging and food items using lab equipment (Instron tensile tester, Taber testers, pH meter, moisture analyzer, etc.)
• Design and execute experiments consistent with brand packaging handling
• Analyze data, troubleshoot discrepancies, and communicate results to cross‑functional teams
• Write summaries and test reports and present findings in presentations
• Assist with Spec and SOP updates
• Manage lab spaces and equipment
• Work in product life cycle systems
• May occasionally work in the food lab (secondary)

• Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Science, Packaging Engineering, or similar
• 1+ year of experience is preferred, but recent graduates are welcome to apply
• Ability to interpret data, adjust test procedures and processes
• Knowledge of packaging materials, substrates and surface treatments
• Familiarity with lab equipment and environments
  
  Proficiency in Excel, Word, Power Point
• Teamwork and time‑management skills
• Experience in product life cycle systems preferred
• Experience in a food lab preferred
