Our Automation and Controls Specialists are instrumental in building long term customer relationships, solving problems, and making recommendations to improve customer’s building systems. They will develop, build, test, and commission building systems such as HVAC, lighting, power, and monitoring.

• Develop, build, test, and commission building controls systems to include programming terminal unit controllers and their associated graphics.
• Perform unitary controller level point-to-point check out and functional testing.
• Provide support to test and balance technicians and commissioning agents by making system adjustments, participating in testing, and addressing punch list items.
• Perform BAS service and maintenance, including diagnosing and repairing control systems malfunctions.
• Respond to BAS emergencies during off-hours.
• Prepare documentation and reports of work status and completion.

• At least 1 year of experience with 2 or more BAS controls platforms such as Tridium Niagara, Trane, Johnson Controls, Honeywell, Siemens, or Distech.
• Working knowledge of the installation, operation, and repair of commercial HVAC and control equipment.
• Working knowledge of electrical circuits and systems.
• Understanding of Cyber Security in commercial building networks
• High school diploma or GED.

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Distech GFX Certification.
• Tridium Niagara 4 Certification.

• Must possess knowledge of low-voltage electrical code standards and controls industry installation quality practices.
• Ability to read and understand mechanical, electrical, network, and wiring schematics, drawings, and diagrams.
• Ability to manage professional email communications.
• Ability to manage and maintain a calendar and task management system.
• Ability to present a professional, positive, and helpful attitude, always, when interacting with customers and co-workers.
• Must possess and maintain an exceptional work ethic and punctuality.
• Must uphold company values and demand the highest level of conduct from self and others.
• Must be a self-starter, with the ability to work as part of a team and independently.

• Work involves moderate exposure to elements, such as hot/cold temperatures, dirt, dust, and/or loud noises.
• Work environment involves moderate exposure to construction warehouse hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions.
• Moderate physical effort. Requires handling of average-weight objects up to 75 pounds and extensive sitting. Some walking and standing.
