OverviewApply finish to manufactured product to meet safety, quality, reliability, and environmental standards. Problem solve with team support and pursue continuous improvement. Perform all tasks with a high regard for safety.
Essential Functions- Check stain numbers and apply matching stain, ensuring uniform application.
- Sand and tack each component after the first polyurethane coat.
- Maintain semi‑daily cleaning of spray guns and replace spray tips and catalyst as needed.
- Apply polyurethane using spray guns, controlling application rate, and apply two coats of 3 mm topcoat.
- Apply stains, toners, and dyes accurately with spray guns.
- Follow recycling procedures and dispose of materials properly.
- Adhere to standard quality guidelines and documentation practices.
- Inspect work for quality, identify flaws, and repair as necessary.
- Learn and use the correct finishing method for each component.
- Work in a team environment and be willing to work overtime for production needs.
- Adopt a safety‑oriented mindset and utilize lean manufacturing principles.
- High school diploma, GED, or work experience that demonstrates performance competency.
- Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- Knowledge of finishing processes, safety data sheets, and regulated environments.
- Valid legal right to work in the United States.
- Previous finishing experience preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and detail‑oriented skills.
- Ability to match shop order numbers with stain numbers.
- Follow detailed written or oral instructions and solve small problems.
- Use a spray gun and an air palm sander.
- Work in a regulated environment and understand safety data sheets.
- Seal, topcoat, and shade products to specification and quality standards.
