Job Opportunity

Title: Material Handler Automation 1

Location: Atlanta, GA (Division: Atlanta)

Work schedule: 1 pm – Completion

Base pay: $38,089 Annually

Job Description

The Material Handler Automation 1 is responsible for replenishing product on semi‑automated conveyors by hand within the automated system, correcting any conveyor system errors, manually building new orders or tearing down orders returned to the plant, maintaining production rate based on system performance, and ensuring a clean and safe work environment according to UNITED standards.

What Your Day Will Look Like
  • Placement of correct product on conveyor system in semi‑automated pick lanes as product releases are relieved from the system
  • Resolution of alarms in pick areas by reviewing monitors when alarms are triggered by release issues and communicating system opportunities in a timely manner via handheld radio
  • Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, pallets, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, or product code
  • Coordinate replenishment needs accordingly with responsible parties
  • Replenishment of pallet pick and flow rack zones
  • Manually build new orders and sort/replenish returns in HQS zones
  • Utilize PIT equipment as needed
  • Ensure production goals are met daily
  • General housekeeping
  • All other duties as assigned
What You Need To Succeed
  • Minimum age 18 years old
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by position and compliance with UNITED safety policies
  • Regular and prompt attendance is an essential function of the job
  • Conversational English understanding and communication skills required. Candidates should be able to understand and convey information in English, although fluency is not a requirement for this role.
  • Ability to maintain a neat professional appearance within Company guidelines
  • Ability to maintain safety and security of Company assets
  • Ability to utilize all company provided resources and technology
  • Less than high school education; or up to 1‑month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Forklift experience preferred
  • Ability to demonstrate adaptability, safety, security, and initiative skills
  • Ability to be self‑motivated and able to perform job duties with minimal supervision
  • Proficient in production cleaning using food‑grade cleaning solutions
  • Ability to climb up to 24ft of stairs
Physical Requirements

Position will be required to comply with the CCBCU Personal Protective Equipment Program and to wear safety toed shoes when performing tasks such as operating powered industrial equipment or working in areas where powered equipment is in use, fleet maintenance, working with palletized product, use of hand trucks/dollies, cooler services, etc.
