The Role
MRI Software is seeking a creative, strategic, and highly organized Public Relations Manager to lead our earned media and communications efforts across North America. This role is responsible for strengthening our brand visibility and reputation through media relations, thought leadership, proactive press outreach, and strategic storytelling.
The ideal candidate is a natural communicator and media strategist who can uncover newsworthy stories, foster strong relationships with industry journalists and influencers and secure meaningful coverage across trade and mainstream media outlets. You will play a key role in shaping the public perception of our company and ensuring alignment with our overall brand and business objectives. This role reports directly to the VP of Marketing and has a dotted-line (indirect) reporting relationship to the Global Brand and Communications team and will be part of MRI’s Global Public Relations team.

Public Relations
- Develop and execute a proactive PR strategy aligned with business objectives
- Cultivate relationships with key journalists, editors, influencers, and media outlets
- Draft and distribute press releases, bylines and additional content types
- Secure and manage media placements, interviews, and bylined articles in relevant outlets.
- Monitor news cycles and identify opportunities for reactive media engagement and executive commentary.
- Manage and track media coverage, preparing regular reports and insights for leadership.
- Manage award submissions, thought leadership programs, and speaking opportunities.
Executive Visibility & Thought Leadership
- Strategically position key executives as industry authorities and trusted voices on relevant topics.
- Develop and refine executive messaging, bios, thought leadership pieces, and speaker profiles.
- Secure and manage executive interviews, op-eds, bylined articles, and speaking opportunities.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to prepare executives for media engagements, including briefing docs and talking points.
Influencer Relations
- Identify and engage with industry influencers, analysts, and content creators (beyond traditional media) who shape industry conversations.
- Build long-term, value-driven relationships that amplify our brand narrative in key digital and social ecosystems.
- Collaborate with marketing and partner teams to develop co-branded opportunities, interviews, and partnerships with influential voices.
Social Media
- Own and execute the North American social media strategy across key platforms
- Plan and create engaging, on-brand content, including posts, stories, graphics, videos, and copy
- Manage content calendar and ensure integration with broader marketing campaigns
- Monitor social conversations, trends, and competitor activity to keep content timely and relevant
