Job Summary

The Brand PR Manager executes key integrated communications initiatives, projects and activities that grow, promote, and elevate the brands within the GoTo Foods platform company. This position works with the Brand PR Director to develop and execute earned media relations brand building activations and relevance driving initiatives in support of the brands at GoTo Foods.

Essential Functions
  • Public Relations
    • Support strategy and lead execution of consumer-focused PR initiatives, inclusive of brand activations, collaborations, and media relations, with support from the national PR agency of record.
    • Collaborate with brand marketing teams to advise on promotions, LTOs and key business initiatives to generate media coverage.
    • Coordinate with brand teams and shared services departments on execution for integrated campaigns (marketing, creative, culinary, social, loyalty, web, email, operations).
    • Assist in ideation, outreach and negotiation of brand partnerships and collaborations to increase brand visibility among key audiences.
    • Work alongside brand social media leads to mine for ‘newsjacking’ stories and reactive PR opportunities based on timely events, trends, pop culture, etc.
    • Partner with corporate communications and franchise sales PR lead to offer up story opportunities and review all materials for brand accuracy.
    • Establishes and maintains a consistent system of managing projects and documenting key metrics and reporting, in partnership with AOR.
  • Vendor, Internal, and External Relationships
    • Establishes and manages a relationship with national PR agency of record and any PR vendors (e.g., activation vendors, production teams, etc.) to ensure brand communication needs are met while maximizing cost efficiency, quality, and timeliness.
    • Provides strategic communications counsel and executive coaching to senior leadership.
    • Develops and maintains positive business relationships with associates, vendors, agencies, media, stakeholders, franchise partners, and industry professionals which fosters an environment for mutual respect, understanding, and support.
    • Interacts with internal stakeholders to provide consultation on communications, PR, and related topics.
    • Interfaces with industry, media, and professional organizations to increase awareness of the brand/organization, to expand networking opportunities, and to remain knowledgeable of communications and PR strategies.
    • Research industry communications and public relations trends and best practices to assess the organization’s performance.
Education
  • Bachelor's Degree in public relations, communications, journalism, business, marketing, advertising, or other related field of study (Preferred)
Work Experience
  • 5-8 years' experience in media/public relations and communications (Preferred)
  • Retail, restaurant, food, or beverage experience (Preferred)
Skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to communicate complex concepts in clear concise language; to demonstrate active listening while engaging others; and to establish, implement, and clearly communicate strategies that align with business needs and objectives to gain buy-in from stakeholder
  • Ability to develop and maintain positive business relationships (e.g, senior management, stakeholders, other departments, etc.) and foster an environment of mutual respect, understanding, trust, and support
  • Ability to anticipate and respond to the needs of stakeholders (e.g, internal and external customers, etc.) in a timely manner
  • Ability to adapt and adjust planned work through analyzing work demands, competing priorities, and tight deadlines; and to understand the most effective and efficient means to accomplish tasks within the parameters of the organizational structure, processes, systems, and policies
  • Ability to assess situations, provide counsel, and identify solutions that resolve challenges/issues, while considering the best interests of all parties; to develop and implement short and long-term solutions; and to apply effective problem solving and decision-making to address business needs and issues
  • Ability to travel overnight approximately 20% annually
