The successful candidate will drive digital and direct-to-consumer marketing strategy and tactics for Hertz Car Sales nationwide.
Starting salary is $135K; commensurate with experience.
A Day in LifeReporting directly to the Sr Director, Hertz Car Sales Marketing, the Director, Performance Marketing will be responsible for media strategy, buying, and analytics based in Atlanta, Georgia. With a keen focus on key business metrics including revenue, profit, lead generation, store and online traffic, site conversion, store conversion, and retention, the Director, Growth Marketing will lead the growth of our marketing channels to deliver a growing profit stream and expand the consumer’s positive experience with Hertz Car Sales.

- Oversee the strategy, tactics and day‑to‑day management of our digital and DTC marketing channels focused on driving both online and retail vehicle sales

- Lead innovation and advancement of the overall digital marketing agenda through the development and execution of a multi‑year roadmap
- Hire, develop and manage a Marketing Analyst to deliver new and comprehensive approaches to measure and optimize effectiveness of all marketing initiatives, including but not limited to utilizing MMM, incrementality testing, and other analytic techniques
- Leverage CRM data and performance analytics to accelerate improvements in overall marketing efficiency and customer acquisition
- Work with the larger marketing team supporting the execution of omni‑channel programs targeted to specific consumer segments
- Partner with the larger organization (including senior business leaders across the company) to understand their business objectives and be seen as the subject matter expert on Growth Marketing within the Hertz Car Sales team
- Actively partner and collaborate with cross‑functional Brand Marketing and Hertz Rental Car teams to ensure a consistent message of the Hertz brand across all consumer touch points
- Build a world‑class Growth Marketing function through defining the optimal internal organization structure and appropriate set of third‑party partner relationships as we continue to grow and mature the business
- Increased YoY traffic to Hertz Car Sales website and our offline stores
- Increased YoY leads generated for vehicle sales
- Increased YoY vehicle sales and profit growth
- Delivery against program and channel ROAS targets that ladder up to improving channel effectiveness
- 360‑degree feedback from internal teammates; external customer feedback
- 10+ years of marketing experience with at least 7–9 years digital experience with integrated media and marketing platforms that include both digital and traditional marketing
- Demonstrated experience with implementing performance marketing initiatives that will scale to support the requirements of a growing organization with multiple brands
- Deep understanding of the digital environment and evolving tools and platforms used to improve online presence; able to translate trends into brand‑right business opportunities
- Strong leadership and consensus building skills, with willingness to continually embrace personal and professional development
- Prior experience leading and developing a team of professionals, as well as working across indirect reports, agency and cross‑functional partners
- Able to interact with all levels of the organization; must be able to articulate a vision and develop and deliver supporting marketing plans
- Strong relationship builder both within the organization and with external partners
