As a Senior Marketing & Business Development Associate, you will play a key role in advancing Hussey Gay Bell’s growth, visibility, and client engagement efforts with a primary focus on the firm’s Atlanta operations, while supporting broader strategic initiatives across the Southeast. This hybrid role blends hands‑on marketing and proposal execution with active participation in client-facing, industry, and brand‑building activities that support both local and regional business development goals.
Reporting to the Director of Marketing & Business Development, this position works closely with Atlanta-based leadership, firmwide principals, technical teams, and external partners to support strategic pursuits, strengthen client relationships, and elevate the firm’s brand presence. The ideal candidate is both a strong producer and a confident relationship-builder, an individual comfortable driving marketing deliverables behind the scenes while also representing the firm in client, industry, and community settings.
Core Position ResponsibilitiesMarketing & Proposal Development
- Participate in all aspects of qualifications, proposals, and presentations, including strategy development, messaging, content creation, production, and delivery.
- Lead and support the full RFQ/RFP lifecycle, from coordination and scheduling through final submission and post‑submittal follow‑up.
- Collaborate with the Director of Marketing & BD, principals, and technical staff to develop customized, strategic responses and interview materials.
- Assist in interview preparation, including messaging development, presentation materials, rehearsal coordination, and coaching support.
- Develop and maintain marketing collateral including project sheets, resumes, market sector materials, award submissions, and other branded content.
- Assist with public relations efforts including announcements, advertisements, direct mail campaigns, award submissions, and special events.
- Support the deployment of creative campaigns targeting specific clients, markets, or industry sectors.
- Assist with creation, coordination, and maintenance of digital content across the firm’s website and social media platforms.
- Participate in professional, industry, and community organizations to promote firm visibility and recognition in the Atlanta market and beyond.
- Demonstrate familiarity with industry trade organizations, conferences, and publications relevant to Hussey Gay Bell’s practice areas.
- Support corporate marketing initiatives including branding, website updates, collateral development, and internal communications.
- Maintain and provide support for marketing information systems and tools.
- Assist with improving internal processes to streamline proposal and marketing production efficiencies.
- Support business development initiatives through client research, pursuit planning, and opportunity tracking.
- Attend client meetings, industry functions, conferences, and networking events as delegated to support relationship‑building, brand visibility and pursuit efforts.
- Assist with CRM management, including data integrity, opportunity tracking, contact updates, and reporting (Salesforce/Treble Hook experience preferred).
- Conduct market, client, and competitor research to support strategic growth initiatives and pursuit decisions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English, Public Relations, or a related field.
- 6–10 years of experience in marketing and/or business development within an A/E/C firm or closely related professional services environment.
- Proven experience supporting RFQ/RFP responses, interviews, and pursuit strategy.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud applications.
- Proficiency in Word Press or similar CMS platforms.
- Proficiency in Salesforce or similar CRM platforms.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with firm leadership, technical professionals, and external partners.
- Willingness and ability to attend client and industry events, with some regional travel as required.
- Familiarity with Southeast regional markets and industry organizations a plus.
