Tree Management Training Program is a seven-week program that combines training in the technical aspects of tree care with soft skills for successful emerging professionals.
Program DetailsGYF will recruit and screen nine (9) program participants. Participants are employed to train and work on green infrastructure and tree care projects with our employment partner. Participant skill development and proficiency will be assessed throughout the program. Upon program completion, program participants will be eligible for full time employment with our tree care employer partners.
Participants will receive a weekly stipend.
Objectives- To bridge the gap between Tree Care Industry and under-served youth
- To holistically prepare youth for the industry
- To decrease rates of unemployment, crime, and poverty amongst under-served youth
Some tree care skills addressed include workplace safety, chain saw operation, chipper operation, tree pruning, tree care and invasive species removal.
