The Resource Development Specialist is responsible for spearheading initiatives to identify, develop, and secure resources necessary for the expansion and sustainability of STE(A)
M Truck programs. This role involves strategic planning, grant writing, donor management, and collaboration with the marketing and communications teams to enhance fundraising efforts.
- Develop and implement innovative fundraising strategies and campaigns.
- Identify and apply for grants, including writing proposals and managing submissions.
- Cultivate relationships with new and existing donors and sponsors.
- Organize and coordinate fundraising events and initiatives.
- Manage a portfolio of donors and prospects, ensuring regular communication and engagement.
- Develop materials to communicate the impact of donations, including reports, newsletters, and presentations.
- Work closely with the marketing team to create promotional materials and content that highlight the benefits of supporting STE(A)
M Truck.
- Identify potential partners and collaborators that align with STE(A)
M Truck’s mission. - Foster relationships with corporate sponsors, community organizations, and educational institutions.
- Coordinate with the Programs team to ensure partnership activities align with programmatic needs and goals.
- Track and report on fundraising progress using donor databases and CRM tools.
- Analyze data to assess the effectiveness of fundraising campaigns and strategies.
- Provide regular updates to the Executive Director and Board of Directors on resource development activities and outcomes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Communications, Nonprofit Management, or related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in fundraising, grants management, or resource development.
- Proven track record of successfully securing funding through grants and donor relationships.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with donor databases and CRM software preferred.
