Position Overview

Home is Atlanta’s oldest and largest provider of permanent supportive housing for individuals and families impacted by HIV/AIDS. We are committed to advancing housing stability, wellness, and long-term support through dignified, holistic care.

The Development Manager plays a hands‑on role in advancing Status:
Home’s fundraising efforts by supporting individual giving, donor stewardship, and campaign execution. This position offers meaningful responsibility, close collaboration with senior leadership, and the opportunity to build strong fundraising skills within a stable, mission‑driven organization.

This role is well‑suited for a development professional with foundational experience who is ready to grow, take ownership of projects, and contribute to scalable fundraising systems.

Key Responsibilities Individual Giving and Stewardship
  • Manage and grow individual donors under $5,000, including retention, upgrades, acquisition, and re‑engagement
  • Plan and execute bi‑annual fundraising campaigns such as Year‑End and Giving Tuesday
  • Prepare donor research, meeting materials, and stewardship follow‑up to support major donor cultivation
  • Manage donor acknowledgments, recognition, and ongoing stewardship touchpoints
  • Support and grow donor giving societies and related engagement opportunities
Events and Campaign Execution
  • Assist with planning and execution of fundraising and stewardship events
  • Support sponsorship fulfillment, silent auctions, raffles, and corporate engagement events
  • Assist with vendor coordination, logistics, timelines, and guest experience
  • Capture and share donor engagement stories and event content
CRM and Database Management
  • Serve as primary administrator for Virtuous CRM
  • Maintain accurate donor records, segmentation, reporting, and data integrity
  • Create dashboards and reports to track donor activity and campaign performance
  • Support donor journey mapping and automated workflows
Corporate and Community Engagement
  • Jointly cultivate and steward corporate partners with internal team leads
  • Collaborate to convert volunteer groups, ERGs, and community partners into donor prospects
  • Coordinate with the Institutional Giving Manager on corporate proposals and partnerships
Communications and Storytelling
  • Draft donor‑facing communications including appeals, acknowledgments, talking points, and event materials
  • Incorporate program success stories into donor communications
  • Support email, print, and digital fundraising outreach
Prospect Research
  • Conduct research on individual, corporate, and community prospects
  • Prepare donor profiles and background materials for leadership and board members
  • Support pipeline development and identification of new funding opportunities
Minimum Qualifications

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree required; degrees emphasizing writing or communications preferred
  • Three to five years of experience in nonprofit fundraising, donor relations, events, or communications
  • Experience working with donors, volunteers, or community partners
  • Experience with donor CRM systems;
    Virtuous experience is a plus

  • Comfortable presenting to donors, volunteers, and community groups
Knowledge and Competencies
  • Understanding of donor engagement and stewardship best practices
