The Registered Professional Nurse at Northside Hospital independently plans and provides professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and established guidelines, and in accordance with the scope of practice as defined by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.

This is a Weekend Professional Plan Position:

• All WP employees work two 12-hour shifts every weekend. This includes holidays, which may occur on the weekend.
• For working two night shifts from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, WP employees will be paid for 24 regular hours at base rate plus the additional Weekend Professional rate.

Skills and Abilities

, License or Certification Required:

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Licensed as a RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.
• Must hold certification in American Heart Association’s Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).

• BSN degree.
• Two (2) years of experience as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN).
• Additional Life Support credentials (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) or other clinical specialty certifications in specific units.
• Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.
