- Participate in the daily operation of the Glynn Care Center HIV clinic to include phlebotomy, EMR entry of lab results, and address onsite lab issues.
- Follow DPH nursing protocols, immunization practices, and DHHS HIV clinical/protocol guidelines; ensure patient/provider satisfaction by monitoring clinical workflow and efficiency.
- Complete nursing assessment, vaccine administration, and health education/counseling.
- Vaccine management: vaccine storage and handling, administration, refrigerator monitoring, ordering, and tracking immunizations in GRITS and EMR.
- May be asked to train new hires (LPN, RN, CMA) on platforms such as VHN & GRITS, immunization certification via the CDC, and vaccine inventory.
- Become familiar with Electronic Medical Records.
- Perform other duties as required.
- Associate degree in nursing from an accredited college or university and completion of a PHN course within one (1) year of hire.
- Current Georgia Registered Professional Nurse license and CPR certification.
- Preferred: 2+ years in a Public Health or Outpatient Clinic setting and 2+ years of patient/client case management experience.
- Strong knowledge of infectious disease, HIV/AIDS, and STD risk factors, medical implications, and treatment options.
