Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will participate in a collaborative practice environment providing direct health services to program participants, review/update clinical guidelines, policies, and procedures related to clinical services delivery.
Responsibilities Clinical Responsibilities- Practice in an autonomous clinical environment at the top of APRN licensure and scope of practice.
- Provides direct health services for program participants according to scope of practice and national board certification including but not limited to diagnostic assessments, creating a plan of care/treatment plan, prescribing medications and other therapies, ordering and interpreting laboratory and radiographic testing and providing health education.
- Provides direct Nursing care services including anthropometric measurements, medication administration, specimen collection & processing.
- Refers clients in need of a higher level of care or hospitalization to appropriate facilities.
- Refers clients for ancillary services, as needed.
- Serves as a clinical expert to team members in the field of board certification.
- Maintains appropriate confidentiality, documentation of client encounters, and services provided.
- Documents clinical encounter notes in the EHR utilizing the SOAP format, assigns appropriate ICD-10 codes, and closes charts within the designated timeframe.
- Precepts students in our interprofessional education program.
- Documents correct E/M level of service code & reviews billing tab in EHR before signing charts.
- Maintains clinical efficiency standards.
- Collaborate with delegating and designated physicians.
- Provides individualized and group health education sessions.
- Practices in accordance with state law and rules as determined by the Georgia State Board of Nursing and the Georgia Composite Medical Board.
- Attends meetings as assigned by program or supervisor.
- Participates in clinical shared governance.
- Engages with key partners and stakeholders.
- Participates in continuing education activities.
- Maintains active state licensure, national board NP certification, and BLS certification.
- Manages assigned program championship (vaccine program, medication assistance program, laboratory program, wellness program, etc.).
- Supports projects related to clinical service delivery as assigned by the Chief Clinical Officer.
- Master’s degree in Nursing required.
- Four years or more of experience in nursing as a Registered Nurse.
- One year of practice experience in an outpatient setting as a Nurse Practitioner post-APRN licensure; three or more years preferred.
- Prior experience working with vulnerable populations in a healthcare setting or in a free/charitable clinic preferred.
- Current, active, and unencumbered Georgia License as a Registered Professional Nurse required.
- Current, active, and unencumbered authorization to practice as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in Georgia required.
- National board certification as a Nurse Practitioner from an accredited board (AANP, ANCC, PNCB, etc.).
- American Heart Association BLS certification for healthcare profession.

The actual salary offered is determined by considering each candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, and certifications or other professional licenses held.
