The Position:As a Regional RN Trainer, you will play an essential role in providing specialized care to patients receiving infusions. You will work closely with a team of healthcare professionals to administer medications, monitor patients’ response to treatment, and ensure their overall well‑being. Training Specialist to act as designated trainer when onboarding new hires, new practices or re‑training as needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:- Assess the patient’s health and detect changes in symptoms, health or pain; determine when action is necessary.
- Provide clinical infusion services; obtain vital signs, assess health prior to administration of biologic medication, insertions and discontinuations of peripheral intravenous catheter, mix/monitor medications, premeds, and administer medications in response to changes in patient’s condition; make follow‑up appointments; answer telephone; ensure accurate and timely documentation per company policy and procedures; clean equipment between patients.
- Review diagnostic and laboratory data and report abnormal results to treating physician or other healthcare provider.
- Document assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation in the patient record accurately and timely.
- Assist with drug inventory management—daily inventory, ordering, monitoring of refrigerator temperatures.
- Assist with maintaining unit equipment, safety checks, cleaning and promptly report any issues.
- Maintain strict confidentiality; adhere to all HIPAA guidelines and regulations.
- Train and onboard new hires as needed.
- Assist in onboarding or start‑up of new practices and infusion suites to AHG.
- Provide coverage in other practices as needed.
- Handle any re‑training needs among infusion nursing staff.
- Travel extensively to existing and future AHG practices.
- Other duties as assigned by manager.
- Associate Degree.
- Registered Nurse Degree.
- Active state nursing license.
- 2 years of experience working in a healthcare facility and 1 year working with medical payers including Medicare, Medicaid and commercial insurance.
- Minimum 3 years experience inserting IV’s and infusion experience.
- Minimum 3–5 years experience training team members.
- Working knowledge of electronic medical record systems (Next Gen).
- Working knowledge of CPT & ICD‑10 coding practices.
- Excellent organizational skills.
