Registered Nurse (RN)

Location:

Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) Atlanta, 601 McDonough Blvd., Atlanta, GA 30315. Period of Performance: FY 2026.

FCI Atlanta is seeking Registered Nurses (RNs) to provide direct patient care services to the male inmate population in multiple clinical settings within the institution.

• Sunday – Saturday
• Variable shifts across a 24-hour period
• 1 session = 1 hour
• Average 40 sessions per week per nurse
• 30-minute unpaid lunch per shift

• Health Services Unit
• Special Housing Unit (SHU)
• Camp Medical Clinic

• Provide direct patient care (vital signs, assessments, documentation)
• Administer medications and vaccinations
• Perform phlebotomy, urinalysis, EKGs, and point-of-care testing
• Assist providers during sick call, emergencies, and minor procedures
• Assist with infection control, chronic care, and discharge planning
• Maintain patient confidentiality and professional standards

• Medical supplies and equipment provided
• Contractor must provide a white lab coat/smock
• Professional attire required

• Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program
• Current, unrestricted RN license
• BLS certification (AHA or Red Cross)
• Minimum 6 months of experience preferred
• Ability to pass drug screening and background investigation
