Pay Breakdown
- Local Rate: $36/hour
- Travel Pay (Over 50 miles):
- Taxed Compensation: $468
- Untaxed Stipend: $1,000
- Travel Weekly Total: $1,468
The Corrections Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides general and emergency nursing care to adults and children in custody within the Medical and Ambulatory section of the Corrections Facility. This role requires maintaining facility security standards while delivering high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities
- Provide routine and emergency nursing care to incarcerated individuals
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Monitor patient health and document findings accurately
- Collaborate with healthcare and correctional staff to ensure safety and compliance
- Maintain security protocols at all times
- Current Practical Nursing License in the applicable state
- Minimum of one year experience in corrections (preferred)
- Current CPR certification
- TB Questionnaire, PPD, or chest X-ray (as applicable)
- Current health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
- Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
