Southeast Rheumatology Alliance is seeking a skilled and compassionate Infusion LPN to join our dynamic healthcare team in Atlanta, GA. The infusion nurse will be responsible for administering intravenous medications to patients in a private practice medical setting. The ideal candidate should possess strong clinical skills, exceptional patient care abilities, and a commitment to delivering high-quality healthcare services.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Administer intravenous medications and fluids according to physician orders and nursing protocols.
  • Monitor patients during infusion therapy to assess vital signs, evaluate patient response, and manage any adverse reactions.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient care activities, including infusion records, medication administration, and patient progress notes. Updating patient charts and tracking paperwork using our EMR system.
  • Cleaning and preparing patient areas, equipment, and tools.
  • Collaborate with physicians, benefit coordinators and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure treatment goals are met.
  • Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and standards to maintain a safe environment for patients and healthcare staff.
  • Assist in the maintenance and organization of infusion supplies and equipment.
  • Manage infusion phone messages and scheduling.
  • Insertion and discontinuation of peripheral IV catheters.
Qualifications
  • Current LPN license in the state of Georgia
  • Experience with EMR systems
  • Proficient in dose calculations and administering IV medications
