Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) night shift position requiring Level IV NICU and surgical experience.
Responsibilities- Work in a Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit
- Patient population includes neonates with complex surgical and medical needs such as CDH, MAS, NEC, TEF/EA, abdominal wall defects, BPD, and pulmonary hypertension
- 12-hour night shifts, 7p-7a, with every other weekend required
- No on-call requirements
- Float to other departments within the hospital and cross-campus to another NICU as needed
- Holiday scheduling requires working either Christmas Day or the day before/after Christmas
- Must care for neonates with pre/peri/post-operative needs and complex diagnoses
- Facility enforces a nicotine-free policy for all staff
- First-time travelers will be considered
- Team members may be floated to meet patient care needs across multiple NICUs
- Active GA or compact RN license required
- Minimum 2 years of NICU experience required
- Level IV and surgical NICU experience required
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification preferred
- Flu vaccination required with no exceptions or declinations
- Must pass a nicotine screening
