American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg-Tele RN for a night shift position in a high-acuity Level 1 trauma center, requiring BLS, ACLS, and at least 2 years of specialty experience.

• Work in a 10-bed admission unit handling general medical and surgical patients awaiting surgery
• Rapid admission unit with faster patient turnover than a typical med/surg unit
• Patient ratio of 5:1 for M/S RN
• Night shift schedule, 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week
• Deferred scheduling type with no on-call requirements

• Active RN license (GA or Compact) currently in hand
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of experience in med/surg-tele specialty required
• Experience in high-acuity, high-volume trauma hospitals required
• Proven ability to manage critical, fast-paced situations in large-scale trauma environments
• Must be able to communicate clearly and work independently
• Nursys license verification required for consideration

• Care for general medical and surgical patients in a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center
• Mandatory holiday coverage: must work Thanksgiving Day or the day after, plus either Christmas Eve and Christmas Day or New Year's Eve and New Year's Day
• Travelers expected to work 4 weekend shifts per month
• Block scheduling generally not approved
• Accepts local candidates at the same rate as travel rate
