American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring BLS, ACLS, and at least 2 years of specialty experience in a high-acuity trauma setting.

• 10-bed Med/Surg-Tele admission unit
• Patient population includes general medical patients and surgical patients awaiting surgery
• Rapid admission unit with faster patient turnover than a typical Med/Surg unit
• Patient ratio of 5:1 for Med/Surg RNs
• Night shift schedule, 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week
• No on-call requirements
• Travelers expected to work 4 weekend shifts per month
• Block scheduling is generally not approved

• Active GA or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Med/Surg-Tele specialty required
• Experience in a high-acuity, high-volume Level 1 trauma center required
• Proven success managing critical, fast-paced, and high-pressure trauma situations required
• Candidates with experience limited to small or low-volume hospitals will not be considered
• Work history/resume with no employment gaps greater than 60 days required for consideration

• Must be able to communicate clearly and work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Mandatory holiday coverage required: either Thanksgiving Day or the day after, plus either Christmas Eve and Christmas Day or New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate as traveler rate
