American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg-Tele RN for a night shift position at a Level 1 trauma center, requiring BLS, ACLS, and prior high-acuity trauma experience.

• 10-bed admission unit serving general medical and surgical patients awaiting surgery
• Rapid admission unit with faster patient turnover than a typical med/surg floor
• Patient ratio of 5:1 for Med/Surg RNs
• Night shift schedule, 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week
• No on-call requirements
• Travelers expected to work 4 weekend shifts per month
• Block scheduling generally not approved

• Active GA or compact RN license required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of experience in specialty required
• Experience in high-acuity, high-volume trauma environments required
• Proven background managing critical, fast-paced, large-scale trauma cases required
• Candidates with experience limited to small or low-volume hospitals will not be considered
• Work history/resume with no gaps greater than 60 days required for consideration

• Care for general medical and surgical patients within a high-acuity Level 1 trauma center
• Communicate clearly and work independently in a fast-turnover admission unit
• Mandatory holiday coverage: work either Thanksgiving Day or the day after Thanksgiving, plus either Christmas Eve and Christmas Day or New Year's Eve and New Year's Day
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate as travelers
