Job Opportunity – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse – Float Pool – Georgia

Start Date: November 2, 2026

Location: Atlanta, Georgia

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Float Pool assignment rotating to all PCU/IMCU units with cardiac patient populations. Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:3–4. May also be assigned to telemetry beds with lower acuity levels within the same units. Minimal requested time off during assignment.

• Float to all Progressive Care and Intermediate Care units with primary cardiac population
• Diverse case mix including STEMI, NSTEMI, cardiothoracic surgery patients, and chest pain protocols
• Manage cardiac drips including Milrinone, Dobutamine, and vasopressor medications
• EPIC electronic medical record system in use
• Opportunity to expand clinical skills across multiple units and patient acuities
• Telemetry monitoring experience with varying acuity levels

• Active Georgia RN license or ability to obtain prior to start date
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required
• Minimum of 2 years progressive care or similar acute care experience in a comparable-sized facility
• Strong cardiac nursing background with experience managing cardiac drips and post-cardiac surgery patients
• Badge-appropriate photo and complete demographic information required for credentialing

This Float Pool PCU position offers experienced cardiac nurses the chance to broaden their clinical expertise across multiple progressive care environments while caring for a diverse cardiac patient population. You'll work with advanced cardiac therapies and life-saving interventions in a dynamic, fast-paced setting that values flexibility and clinical excellence.
