- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience - Current ACLS and BLS certifications
Description:
The role involves providing care in a medical step down unit with 6 to 20 beds. Patient-to-nurse ratio is 1 to 4. Common conditions include sepsis, heart failure, hypertensive emergency, respiratory failure, COPD, chronic kidney disease, Type 2 Diabetes, substance abuse, status epilepticus, and encephalopathy. There is a possibility of floating to all intermediate care units, with specific focus on 5J and 12A.
Mandatory holiday coverage is required. Travelers must work either Thanksgiving Day or the day after Thanksgiving. Additionally, they must work either Christmas Eve and Christmas Day or New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.
