American Traveler is hiring a Progressive Care RN for a night shift role in a high-acuity Level 1 trauma center IMCU requiring 2+ years of relevant experience.

• Medical step-down (IMCU) unit with 6-20 beds
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• Patient population includes sepsis, heart failure, hypertensive emergency, respiratory failure, COPD, chronic kidney disease, type 2 diabetes, substance abuse, status epilepticus, and encephalopathy
• Possible floating to other IMCU units, most commonly 5J and 12A
• Night shift schedule, 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week
• No on-call requirements
• Travelers expected to work 4 weekend shifts per month
• Block scheduling generally not approved

• Active RN license (GA or Compact)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Minimum 2 years of relevant nursing experience
• Experience in high-acuity, high-volume trauma or hospital settings required
• Candidates with experience limited to small or low-volume hospitals will not be considered

• Work within a Level 1 trauma center known for complex, high-acuity cases
• Care for patients requiring step-down level monitoring and intervention
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate as travel candidates
