American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a night shift contract at a Level 1 trauma center, requiring 2+ years of high-acuity hospital experience.

• 30-bed mixed Medical/Surgical unit
• Patient ratio of 5-6:1
• Night shift schedule, 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week
• Deferred scheduling with no block scheduling approved
• Travelers expected to work 4 weekend shifts per month
• No on-call requirements

• Active GA or Compact RN license required
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification preferred
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg experience required
• Level 1 trauma center or mid-to-large hospital experience required
• Experience in high-pressure, high-volume trauma environments required
• Candidates with experience limited to small or low-volume hospitals will not be considered

• Unit is a Dedicated Education Unit, but travel nurses will provide direct patient care rather than education duties
• Care provided for complex, high-acuity trauma and Med/Surg cases
• No RTO (time off) permitted during this assignment
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate as travel candidates
• Positive attitude and punctuality expected
