ABOUT THE JOB

As a Product Quality Supervisor, you will build and/or lead a team of product quality, calibration and metrology technicians who will work inside and outside the organization to execute detailed receiving and in‑process inspection plans (DIP’s), to ensure the delivery of safe, quality, and reliable products. The right person for this role has knowledge of new quality control standards, geometric dimension and tolerancing (GD&T), calibrated measurement and tooling equipment MTE, and advanced product quality planning (APQP).

WHAT YOU’LL DO
  • Lead a team of quality technicians, calibration technicians, and leads who will develop and deliver the quality performance for launched effects products including launchers, flight systems, propulsion systems, energetics, actuators, control surfaces and structures, etc.
  • Train employees on work instructions, procedures, and hands‑on functions, documenting training records. Be the subject matter expert for quality inspection for the local site.
  • Develop and maintain Quality control standards, ensuring consistent application through staff training.
  • Write and update standard operating procedures (SOP).
  • Perform data collection and statistical analysis on the data to drive decisions
  • Drive resource alignment and inspector capabilities for:
    Incoming/Receiving Material Inspection, In‑process inspection, End‑of‑line Inspection, material containment, and MRB inspection operations.
  • Monitor processes to identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with other managers/departments to ensure product is delivered on time.
  • Ensure Inspection areas follow processes and best practices associated with inspection work instructions, procedures, and tools.
  • Collaborate with Quality Engineering in the creation of inspection plans for incoming materials, parts, and assemblies from suppliers and monitor their compliance.
  • Lead and/or support the calibration program and activities for calibrated devices at the local Atlanta, GA, site Forward Deployed sites, and Test sites.
  • When required by regulatory compliance, customer or otherwise, ensure that all measurement, tooling and is calibrated to the required calibration standards.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • 5+ years of Quality and/or Regulatory experience within the Aerospace or Aviation industry
  • 3+ years of experience working in a Management role
  • Basic knowledge of budgetary process
  • Strong understanding of AS9100 requirements and/or FAA/EASA regulations
  • Prior exposure to the manufacture of electronic components for Aerospace applications
