Job Description & How to Apply Below

At Snackish, we’re creating the everyday snack for a new generation.

We’re vertically integrated (hello, Snacktory!) and recently launched across North America in the U.S. and Canada, backed by a world-class CPG team that has a track record of building category-defining brands (and having fun while doing it!).

If you’re energized by early-stage momentum, bold ideas, moving fast, and creating something people reach for every day, we're just getting started. Join us on the snackpack & play a key role in defining the future of everyday snacking.

We are proudly Female-Founded.

How your role will bring the vision to life:

As the Director of Quality, you're the guardian of the chip. Every bag that leaves the Snacktory carries a promise to the person who opens it, and you are the one who makes sure that promise is kept—batch after batch, shift after shift, at every scale we grow into. You'll build the specifications, systems, and testing discipline that make consistency automatic rather than accidental.

You own food safety and regulatory compliance across the U.S. and Canada, and you keep us audit-ready every day, not just audit week. And you hold the line: when quality and speed pull against each other, you're the voice that doesn't blink. You are the standard—and the culture of care that makes everyone on the floor hold it with you.

  • Own the quality management system end to end—specifications, SOPs, critical control points, documentation, and corrective action—so quality is engineered into the process rather than inspected in at the end.
  • Own the certification and licensing calendar (SQF annual recertification, FDA facility registration, CFIA SFC license, state manufacturing license, and any product certifications) so nothing lapses and every renewal is a non-event.
  • Own the programs that keep every bag safe. That means allergen control (ingredient segregation, changeover validation, and label accuracy), sanitation and environmental monitoring, and shelf-life studies that prove our chip stays crunchy, fresh, and on-spec from the Snacktory to the last bag in the pantry.
  • Partner with R&D and Ops to bring new products and flavors to scale: stage-gate quality sign-off, scale-up trials, shelf-life validation, and claims substantiation
  • Define and defend the sensory and product specification for our chip—crunch, texture, color, seasoning distribution, oil, and moisture—and build the testing protocols that hold every single batch to it.
  • Build and lead the QA team—hiring, training, and empowering technicians and line QA who catch deviations early and are genuinely trusted to stop the line when something is off.
  • Own food safety and regulatory compliance across the U.S. and Canada—SQF, GFSI GMP, HACCP, SQF, FDA, and CFIA—and keep us audit-ready every day, not just audit week.
  • Run supplier and ingredient quality—qualification, specifications, incoming inspection, and scorecards—so our proprietary potato protein and every other input arrives exactly to standard.
  • Stand up the quality operating rhythm—hold-and-release decisions, non-conformance tracking, trend analysis, and reporting that gives leadership a real-time read on product consistency.
  • Own consumer complaints, traceability, and recall readiness—closing the loop from a bag in someone's hand back to the batch, the shift, and the root cause.
What success looks like:
  • Quality is owned by everyone on the floor—you've built a culture where the standard is personal, not policed, and people are proud of what goes in the bag.
  • Consistency is measurable and boring- spec adherence is high and batch-to-batch variation is tight and trending tighter, across every line and every run size.
  • Quality is preventive, not reactive- you've moved the team from catching defects to…
