Mortgage lenders require periodic updates on their properties. The purpose of the property inspection is to verify property occupancy and report on the general condition using a mobile application. Most inspections are exterior only; about 10% require interior photos after the property has gone vacant.

• Complete inspections within 4 days after assignment.
• Report general property conditions and determine occupancy based on industry standards.
• Take 9+ photos of the property with brief comments.
• Complete a short form in an app.
• Drive extended periods while making numerous stops during the day within the assigned territory.
• Completed inspections should take 5-6 minutes.

• Computer with an internet connection.
• Reliable vehicle (good gas mileage a plus; you will pay your own gas).
• Smartphone (Android or iPhone).
• Printer.
• Pass a standard background check using a valid driver’s license.

This is a 1099 position. Each inspection has a flat rate, varying by county and volume. You will earn the equivalent of $30
‑$40 per hour.

Depending on the county and whether it is urban or rural, you may complete anywhere from 20 to 500 inspections per month, working 2‑30 hours per week. Lower volume counties have higher rates; higher volume counties have lower rates. There is no set minimum, but the work is consistent month‑to‑month.

Earn more as you become established, have greater availability, or are willing to cover a larger territory. No additional mileage reimbursement above the flat fee per inspection.
