Position SummaryWe’re hiring Catering Specialists — not just cooks. This role goes beyond the kitchen. You’ll be preparing meals, assisting with deliveries, supporting operations, and stepping in wherever needed to keep our fast‑paced business running smoothly. We need dependable, high-functioning individuals who can think critically, work independently, and take pride in delivering a top‑tier product and experience.
Key Responsibilities- Kitchen & Meal Preparation
- Prepare and cook meals according to daily production sheets, recipes, and CACFP nutrition guidelines
- Portion, package, and label meals accurately and neatly
- Support daily prep including chopping, portioning, assembling, and storing food properly
- Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized work environment at all times
- Follow opening, mid‑shift, and closing kitchen checklists
- Ensure all food safety and hygiene protocols are upheld, including temperature logs and storage practices
- Delivery & Operational Support
- Assist with packing meals for delivery routes and loading into delivery vehicles
- Step in as a backup driver for local deliveries when needed
- Navigate delivery routes efficiently, ensuring on‑time drop‑off and excellent customer service
- Help with catering/event setup, equipment transportation, and cleanup
- Monitor inventory and report shortages, damages, or low stock
- Team Collaboration & Initiative
- Work closely with kitchen staff, drivers, and leadership to meet daily deadlines
- Provide feedback to improve processes, kitchen flow, and service execution
- Adapt quickly to unexpected challenges or changes in workflow
- Be ready to "fill in the gap" wherever needed — whether that’s mopping, running a tray, or solving a client issue
- 1+ years experience in food service, catering, or meal prep preferred
- Valid driver’s license with clean record (preferred, not required)
- High‑functioning, dependable, and capable of juggling multiple tasks with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and sense of urgency
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and work in a fast‑paced environment
- Bonus:
Serv Safe certification or leadership experience in small teams
- Pay: $18/hour based on experience and skills
